All bookings must be made at least 1 week (5 business days) in advance of wanted booking time.
We will not be taking any week of pickup bookings.
All bookings will be 1 week long, from Friday – Thursday. Bookings will be charged at a reduced flat weekly fee (normally a daily charge is billed but due to current pandemic circumstances we have reduced our fees).
Equipment bookings will only be available to current or renewing producing members, we are not taking on new producing members at this time.
Equipment rentals will be booked in advance. Pickups will be scheduled in 30 minute time slots while finalizing your booking.
Rental pickups will be by appointment only, absolutely no walk-ins or day of pickup bookings.
Pickup entrance will be locked. When you arrive, you must call us at (613) 238 – 7648 x. 1 and remain at least 2 meters away from the entrance.
We ask that you wear a mask during your pickup (if you are able to do so).
DARC staff will bring your booking down to the entrance and place your booking (which will be in a bin) outside in the courtyard near the entrance.
DARC staff will move back inside our locked building and you will be able to come and collect your booking.
DARC staff will be wearing PPE (masks, shields, gloves, etc).
Once you have collected your booking and are on your way out, DARC staff will collect the bin.
At this time we will not be able to do any gear demos, setups or camera tests with you (please ask us any questions you may have in advance via email/phone).
Payments will be made online via Stripe (credit card and visa debit are accepted at this time). We will not be able to accept cash.
Rental sheets will be signed online.
DARC’s office will remain closed and all pickups will be done outside at the Arts Court 67 Nicholas Street entrance. No one other than DARC staff is permitted to enter the building at this time.
DARC staff will wear gloves and a mask at all times when handling equipment being prepared for rental.
DARC staff will wear gloves, masks and face shields at all times when interacting with members during their pickups and drop offs.
Returned equipment will be sanitized and put into quarantine for at least 72 hours and then sanitized again before staff process the return and rent it out again.
All sanitized equipment ready for rental will be housed in sanitized bins which will be used during the pickup and drop off process. These bins will also be sanitized after every use.
If renters are experiencing any symptoms of COVID 19 or have any known exposure to COVID 19 before their booking they will be asked to cancel their booking at no charge. If symptoms or known exposure take place during the rental period the renter will be asked to inform DARC as soon as possible via email: production@digitalartsresourcecentre.ca.
As much as we miss you, social interaction during pickup and drop off is strongly discouraged and DARC staff will not be available for comments/questions during these times.
